Sindhu Mahavidyalaya

Sindhu Mahavidyalaya is a 41 year old premier institution of Nagpur imparting quality education to students in the faculties of Science & Commerce. It is run by Sindhi Hindi Vidya Samiti which comprises of a team of social workers committed to the mission of propogating education. The college was founded on 1st July 1971.

The courses run by the college are M.Sc.(Biotech.). B.Sc.(Chemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Electronics, Physics, Maths, Botany, Zoology), M.Com and B.Com besides the junior college(+2 level) in Science, Commerce and MCVC.

The college has highly qualified faculty with highest ratio of doctorates to non-doctorates among the teachers. Some of these teachers have visited universities in USA with Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship. In order to tap the immense potential of the teachers from various subjects and to bring the brainpower to a common platform a Centre for Biotechnology was set up in the college. Attempt has been made to utilize the available facilities and equipment for promoting teaching and research in Biotechnology so as to meet the ultimate goal of mankind "Survival of the fittest" in the process of natural competition.

The college has UGC network resource centre, Equal Oppurtinuity Cell, NCC unit, NSS and Adult Education, Infilibnet, library facilities and computer centre with internet.
